Gary Landa, Director

Graduated from Strathclyde University and served his apprenticeship with Messrs. Levy McRae in Glasgow. He joined the Practice in 1988, was assumed a Partner in 1991 and has been Senior Partner since 1993. Had a career in criminal defence and civil litigation and is now a Chamber Practitioner and Managing Partner with responsibility for business development.

Ann Brady, Senior Paralegal

Joined Nelson Gibb & Landa in 1989 as a receptionist. Qualified as a Paralegal in civil court work in 1993 and in criminal court work in 1996. Assists Gary Landa in handling civil, criminal and reparation matters, together with Wills and Executries.

lynne mcdade

Lynne McDade, Trainee Solicitor

Lynne joined Nelson Gibb & Landa in September 2009 after graduating with an LLB Honours degree and completing her Diploma in Legal Practice. She is currently working as a Trainee Solicitor covering various aspects of legal work within the firm.

Kathryn Miller, Trainee Solicitor

Another graduate of Strathclyde University, Kathryn joined Nelson, Gibb and Landa in May 2010 as a trainee solicitor. Working closely with the other trainees, Kathryn currently undertakes a varied workload in all areas of the firm.

karen gibb

Karen Gibb, Director

Karen co-founded the Firm in 1986 (although now denies being old enough to do so) subsequent to completing her training with Messrs. Ross Harper & Murphy. After a brief hiatus to have her three sons, she returned to business in 1993, initially on a part-time basis and as the business developed, on a full time basis. A graduate of Strathclyde University, Karen heads up a busy team specialising in domestic conveyancing, re-mortgages and personally manages a portfolio of commercial customers.

Alison Lupton, Senior Paralegal

Joined Nelson Gibb & Landa in January 2005 after having been a legal secretary for 7 years. At the point of joining the Firm, she was finishing the second part of her exams at Central Law Training to become a Conveyancing Paralegal. Has been qualified for 5 years and has been awarded Fellowship of the Society of Specialist Paralegals. Has her own caseload of domestic conveyancing.

Emma Lawrie, Trainee Solicitor

Emma joined Nelson Gibb and Landa in May 2010 to begin her traineeship. A graduate of Strathclyde University she also has a previous degree in Marketing. She undertakes work in all areas of NGL business.

mari tarleton

Mari Tarleton, Cash Room

Joined the Company in July 2007 after 5 years experiencing the mortgage packaging sector. Previous 20 years was in residential conveyancing. Working in the cash room, Mari has various roles but predominantly deals with PPI payments.
